Go-Ahead chose Mantena as their subcontractor in charge of maintenance (EMC), as the first train operators in Norway to outsource EMC to a subcontractor. In this regard, they requested assistance to analyse their cooperation. The main tasks were to review and document the processes at Go-Ahead and Mantena, and assistance to optimize interfaces, interactions, and processes. Our skilled senior consultants Lars Bengtsson and Dimitri Halseide performed this assignment.
The goal was to identify areas for improvement and suggest actions which could increase the availability and quality of Go-Aheads rolling stock. First, Lars and Dimitri reviewed the two organisations, then they observed and suggested actions. They put up a schedule and specific actions which should contribute to increase the delivery. At the same time, they worked with improvements in the organisation, deliveries, and communication.
